DJ SODE
Telling stories through music to invoke emotion is the cornerstone that defines DJ SODÉ s brand. Noted for my passionate dance floor theatrics and flexibility I have now thrown my hat into the DJ arena. No stranger to the world of house music and R&B classics, I understand the importance of connecting with the music and then sharing that connection with the world.
Coining my signature sound “Food for the Soul,” each of my musical entrees are chock full of nourishing rhythms that take you on a journey. “If the song resonates with my spirit that’s the song for me.” As a young girl growing up in Newark, NJ, I recall watching my brother playing records on my Barbie phonograph table. We would play our transistor radio at the same time and mix the songs. A primitive prelude of things to come these signature moments would serve as the foundation of my DJing prowess.
Formerly a resident of Atlanta, GA which in recent years, has become a hub for house music and dance culture, I have found my calling to go beyond just playing records. Having played at various venues, such as; The Sleepy Potato, Stagga Lee's, The House United Social Club and The Free Ur Soul House Party.
With a host of private parties and a critically acclaimed SoundCloud and MixCloud page that has experienced exponential growth in less than a year.
I have also secured a residency with the online internet show House Hits Radio. I am truly a force to be reckoned with in a male dominated field.
I credit my brother DJ SteveBass for planting that DJ seed that has now germinated into a garden of sound baring food for the soul.
